First the thanks:
Many thanks to the amazing Larry Fisk and Anna Brassard and others who gave such brilliant and inspiring leadership and guidance to make the IPRA conference such a huge success!
Many thanks to Jeannie Lum, Chair of IPRA Peace Education Commission (PEC) for kindly supporting our peace ed presentation and for the opportunity to meet in person!
Many thanks to Rida, UNAC; Chris from SGI; Sally / Tracey from Project Ploughshares; and Allison from Classroom Connections for the wonderful opportunity to work together on our IPRA peace ed session -- A Better World Starts Here: Peace Education Activities and Resources in Canada.
Each of the presentations made were informative & excellent, and the discussion that followed with the participants was very fruitful. Thanks to Kendrick and Rachell from UNAC Calgary for kindly joining us, and to Rita (who was at most of IPRA) and other volunteers from UNAC for being with us in spirit! I would greatly appreciate an e-copy of each person's presentation from our Thursday peace ed session if possible for future reference.
I wish to offer deepest thanks to Chris, Tony, Randy and all at SGI for sponsoring the Culture of Peace exhibit, which was very powerful and inspiring for all those participants who were able to view it. It was also great to have RESULTS Canada, UNAC, SGI and Project Ploughshares on display at the IPRA conference. I was also able to take in the Martin Luther King III speech and the end of conference Multifaith peace prayer ceremony which was beautiful -- so all in all, IPRA was an awesome experience for all who attended and participated!
